EXPLORATORY COOPERATION BETWEEN FIPP UNY AND THE DIRECTOR OF ADULT CONTINUING EDUCATION AND ACADEMICS AT THE SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT & POLITICS AT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CORK, IRELAND

The Faculty of Education and Psychology of Yogyakarta State University held a collaboration with the Director of Adult Continuing Education and an academic in the School of Government & Politics at University College Cork, Ireland, on Monday, November 20, 2023, in the Dean's room of FIPP UNY. In exploring this collaboration, the Dean of FIPP UNY, Prof. Dr. Nurtanio Agus Purwanto, M.Pd., accompanied by the Head of the Department of Non-formal Education, Dr. Puji Yanti Fauziah, M.Pd, discussed the design of cooperation that could be carried out by both parties.

While from the Adult Continuing Education and an academic in the School of Government & Politics at University College Cork, Ireland, it was attended by the Director itself, Prof. Séamus Ó Tuama. He is the Chair of the ASEM Centre for Lifelong Learning, which aimed to establish the direction of the ASEM community's lifelong learning research, policy and practice. ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) is an inter-government process established in 1996 to encourage dialog and cooperation between Asia and Europe. ASEM consists of 53 partners: 30 European and 21 Asian countries, the European Union, and the ASEAN Secretariat.

According to the results of the discussion, a plan for cooperation in the form of an international guest lecturer was prepared, and opened up opportunities for wider cooperation in the three pillars of higher education in the next year. (rit).
