The workshop took place in Abdullah Sigit Room FIPP UNY at 13.00 to 15.00 WIB. Workshop participants consisted of students, supervisors, and other involved participants.

According to the Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Iis Prasetyo, MM, this workshop is a strategic step for UNY to overcome the decrease in PKM achievements. The Dean of FIPP UNY, Prof. Dr. Nurtanio Agus Purwanto, M.Pd., conveyed his concern regarding the decrease in PKM achievements in recent years. Thus, an effective and efficient strategy is needed to make achievements return.

The first speaker, Arwan Nur Ramadhan, conveyed an evaluation related to PKM in 2023. According to him, factors such as lack of student motivation, incompatibility of proposal administration with the minimum requirement template, lack of focus of the supervisor, faculty-centric academic egos, and incompatibility with the lecturer's research are the causes of the decrease in achievement. Arwan suggested that all parties involved in PKM must read the guidelines in detail and that professors provide mentoring with seriousness.

The second speaker, Dr. Sukinah, delivered PKM 2024 guidelines, covering the workflow, types of PKM, PKM requirements, and general characteristics of PKM. This material is aimed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the new procedures and requirements of PKM.

The Workshop on Topic Identification of Student Creativity Program is aimed to give positive encouragement and better understanding to students and supervisors in handling this year's PKM competition, as well as become the first step in enhancing PKM achievements in FIPP UNY. (rit)
